ApeEscapeRecompiled

Monkepedia source and attribution

The launcher catalogue is based on the community-maintained Ape Escape Wiki — Monkepedia and the per-level profile lists linked from each record in recomp/launcher/monkepedia.tsv.

Scope and accuracy

The intended edition is the original 1999 North-American PlayStation game (SCUS-94423), not the Ape Escape: On the Loose roster. The catalogue removes handheld/remake aliases, and each displayed record includes a source URL, profile name, source-listed Monkey Level and concise paraphrase of the personality blurb. Descriptions are summaries of sourced profile text, not invented biographies. In-game portrait artwork and the Speed/Attack/Alert icons are not reproduced.

Completeness note: The catalogue now contains 204 profile records across 19 stages, including the complete 24-monkey North-American Monkey Madness roster and all 12 North-American Sushi Temple profiles. For both levels, the display names, Monkey Levels and personality summaries were checked against the “Ape Escape (1999)” section of the linked stage page. The adjacent Ape Escape: On the Loose entries are a different roster and are not mixed into this original-game catalogue. The catalogue does not include fictional biographies or placeholder profiles.
